The Arcadia mine is the opening area of Soulbound: Online and the first place a new Pioneer sees after uploading. It is an outdoor desert clearing that appears to float in a black void, part of Arcadia's yoku mines, where the Arcadians gather yoku. Its room registry name is F.R.A.M.E Base Camp (used only for cross-referencing game data); in lore and in-game it is the Arcadia mine.

New players arrive at the teleport drop near the centre-north of the clearing and are met by Jayden, who teaches the basics of Mining and Foraging before sending them onward toward Beginner's Bay and the Tutorial Dungeon.

Getting there

The Arcadia mine is where every character begins; it is entered automatically during the opening sequence, immediately after the opening broadcast and the SoulLink Store scene. From here the tutorial route continues on foot to the adjacent farmland at Beginner's Bay. In the wider world, trains run between Arcadia and the hub town of Virelda.

Sub-areas

Helper's Hut

A small interior tucked into the north-west corner of the clearing. It is a minor sub-location used during the opening tutorial.

Quests

  • A Helping Hand (shown in-game across two log entries, Mine Crafter and A Helping Hand) — Jayden hands the player a scavenged pickaxe and gloves and teaches gathering.

Inhabitants

  • Jayden — early-game guide who teaches mining and foraging.

Trivia

  • Canon ruling (2026): although its registry display name is "F.R.A.M.E Base Camp", the room is the Arcadia mine where the Arcadians harvest yoku; Lunar City researchers are said to access these mines covertly.
