Mining Tools
How to Mine
Mining requires a Pickaxe to be equipped in the Toolbag.
TIP: A higher-level Pickaxe can still be used to mine lower-level nodes.
To mine:
- Stand next to and click-and-hold an ore node to start a charging animation with sound.
- Once the animation is at its peak, release the mouse button to gather the resource.
OR
- Stand next to and click the ore. Your character will strike the node 3x to break it
Hint: Multiple items can be dropped from 1 Mining node.
Mining Locations & Re-spawn Timers
Ore nodes exist in every zone.
Hint: Mining nodes share spawns. If you are not satisfied with your selection of nodes, exit the area and come back to see fresh nodes.
Overworld dungeons
Early ores cluster around:
Advanced ores cluster around:
- Hollow Rock
- Clifftop Pass > Scorched Cave (Farpoint cave system)
Tip: Gathering node re-spawn times vary. Players are advised to start checking for new nodes every in-game day (3 hours).
Beacon dungeons
- Gathering nodes are randomized per each dungeon floor.
- If you leave the floor, the nodes are lost for that dungeon run.
- New nodes spawn every run.
