A Helping Hand — shown in-game across two quest-log entries, Mine Crafter and A Helping Hand — is the first hands-on tutorial quest in Soulbound: Online and the third beat of the tutorial opening loop. Given by Jayden in the Arcadia mine, it teaches the mining and foraging gathering skills and equips the player with their first tools before the first dungeon.

Details

• Start point: Speak to Jayden in the Arcadia mine (room F.R.A.M.E Base Camp).
• Requirements: The opening scenes (IntroStreet Monologue, SoulLink Store).
• Items required: None — Jayden provides the Old Pickaxe and Old Gloves.
• Enemies: None.
• Quest giver: Jayden.

The quest shows two log entries in sequence:

• Mine Crafter — "It's time to craft your first sword! You'll have to mine for some materials first, though."
• A Helping Hand — "You seem slightly ill-prepared for the adventure you're about to begin! It seems should fix this."

Walkthrough

Mining

Speak to Jayden, who hands over the Old Pickaxe. Use it to mine the rocks nearby — swing and release to break them — gathering Sturdy Rocks. Return and talk to Jayden when done.

Foraging

Jayden then gives the Old Gloves. Forage in the bushes to gather Pink Berries, then talk to Jayden again.

Provisions

Jayden explains that no adventure is complete without provisions and that gathering seeds restores stamina, then asks the player to follow him — leading into the farming tutorial, Sowing Seeds.

• The quest's other log title is Mine Crafter (questId 01J9RHEFE70M6WEPQ2MQX88566).
• The tools are given directly by Jayden, but the same Old Pickaxe and Old Gloves can also be crafted at a Crafting Bench from Copper Ore and Hemlock.
