Fishing is a Gathering Skill used to collect marine items from Fishing Pools.

How to Fish

Fishing requires at least 3 Stamina, a Fishing Rod, and a fishing pool. Fishing pools are found around Neo-tilus.

The process:

• Stand next to and Click on a fishing pool to cast
• Wait for the fish to firmly bite the bait, then press Spacebar to hook the fish.
  • If you press any keys early, the fish will be scared away.
• Use the A and D keys to reel-in the fish.
  • The green box must be kept over the fish to reel it in.
  • The green box will turn red when the fish is getting away from you.
• If the fish wins the struggle, the fish will escape.
  • Unsuccessful attempts will not cost any Stamina.
• If the player wins the struggle, you will gain 1 marine item.
  • Successful catches will deduct 3 Stamina.

Fishing Quests

• Wilson, in Neo-tilus, provides an introductory Fishing quest, granting the player a Fishing Rod after searching barrels around Neo-tilus
  • Wilson has two follow-up quests after retrieving the fishing rod, related to making catches of certain fish and introducing the player to the Fishmonger crafting station
• Finnley encourages the player exchange a pearl for a strange power source found in the Neo-tilus museum to power the Everdune beacon.
