Jayden
Jayden is the non-player character who greets the player at the start of the game and teaches the basics of mining and foraging during A Helping Hand (shown in-game across two quest-log entries, Mine Crafter and A Helping Hand), the opening quest of the tutorial.
Location
Jayden is found in the Arcadia mine (the room registry lists this area as "F.R.A.M.E Base Camp"), the very first location the player enters after the opening cinematic.
Role
Jayden gives the player their first two tools, a pickaxe and a pair of gloves, describing them as "scavenged." He then walks the player through the quest's task sequence:
- Speak to Jayden
- Mine the rocks

- Forage in the bushes
- Speak to Jayden
- Follow Jayden to gather seeds to restore stamina
Completing the quest awards experience in mining, foraging, and cooking.
Dialogue
