Librarian

The Librarian is a Vendor NPC in Neo-Tilus, standing beside the Fishmonger Crafting Station. The Librarian is the only vendor that accepts Librarian Credits, the currency awarded for writing and maintaining this wiki, and stocks cosmetics and a Divine Scroll that cannot be bought with any other currency.

Librarian Credits cannot be found in the world, dropped, crafted, or traded between players. The only way to obtain them is to contribute to the wiki, so everything the Librarian sells is earned by editing rather than by playing. The full ruleset for the programme is at Wiki:Librarian Credits.

How to earn Librarian Credits

Credits are awarded once a month by the development team, based on what you added to the wiki during the previous calendar month. In short:

Register your character. Add the {{Soulbound player}}

template to your own user page with your character name, your in-game user ID, and the region you play on. Credits are paid to an in-game character, so an unregistered wiki account cannot be paid.

Write real content. Articles, templates, file pages, and help pages all count. Your own user page and talk pages do not.
Make it last. The award is based on content that survives. Edits that are reverted, blanked, or churned back and forth earn nothing, and formatting-only or whitespace-only edits net no content.
Collect. At the start of each month the previous month is scored and credits are granted to the registered character.

Registering

Put this at the top of your user page, replacing the values with your own:

To find your user ID in game, open Settings, go to Account, and click Copy User ID. The region is the server your character is on — US, Europe, Asia, or South America — and it is required, because Soulbound runs a separate server per region. Updates

The Librarian was previously a player model wearing the Librarian Cosmetic set. After a mid-March 2025 update, the Librarian changed to a Scholarly Eagle.
