Crafting Stations allow players to craft weapons, armor, tools, and other useful items.

For a list of potential crafting items, see: https://desat-items.com/

Note: some of the DeSat Items are pulled from raw data and may not be available in game.

Certain NPCs have free basic crafting stations in or around their buildings, like Granny Smith, the Homestead Twins, or Fritz.

Land Holders may have 1 or more crafting stations in their Apartment. These stations may be free-to-use or gold-per-minute rentals. Note that Apartment owners can restrict access to their apartment, crafting stations, and/or generators, which can prevent players from entering and/or crafting.

Apartment Crafting Stations

Land Holders may have 1 or more crafting stations in their Apartment: Kitchen, Chemistry Lab, Furnace, Manufacturing Table, Weapon Station, and/or Armor Station.

Note: Players must power all generators in an Apartment with Coal in order to use 1 or more stations.

Setup

Buying Crafting Stations

Land Holders may purchase Apartment crafting stations from the Yoku Store in Arcadia.

Placing Crafting Stations

The Apartment Editor is used to create the desired layout per each Apartment space.

Powering the Crafting Stations

A Crafting Station must be powered by one or more Generators, according to their power needs.

Generators must be fed Coal to run. Each Generator keeps a separate queue of Coal and will run for a specified time depending on how much Coal is placed. Once all Coal is burned, the generator will shut off.

Crafting Station Wattage:

  • Level 1: 20 Watts
  • Level 2: 30 Watts

Generator Max Wattage:

  • Level 1: 40 Watts
  • Level 2: 65 Watts

Certain stations have add-ons which require additional power. Thus, multiple generators are necessary to meet the demand of multiple stations.

Typical setup:

  • 1 generator powers 2 stations
  • 2 generators for 4 stations
  • 3 generators for 6 stations

Advanced setup:

  • 3 generators for 2 stations + 2 additions

Each individual setup will ultimately depend on the Level of the Crafting Stations and Generators involved.

Crafting Station Access & Rentals

Land holders can choose who can access their apartments, stations, and/or generators. Holders have the following options for apartments:

  • Closed - not open to the public
  • Whitelist - only select players can enter
  • Friends - only friend can enter
  • Open - open to the public

Apartment stations have status indicator above their window which signifies their operability status:

  • No access - station is not open for public use.
  • Powered - station or generator is in right condition to operate.
  • Unpowered (Generator) - Generator does not have Coal
  • Needs Power (Station) - Possible reasons:
    • Generator is Off
    • Generator has no Coal
    • Not enough power to supply all stations (e.g. 3 stations are on and there's only 1 generator)

Apartment Crafting Stations may be free-to-use or can be rented on a gold-per-minute basis if the apartment is Open to the public.

Crafting Station Levels & Recipes

All Crafting Stations start at Level 1 with basic recipes. After a considerable amount of crafting, a station can advance to Level 2 to unlock additional recipes.

Level 2 stations are reportedly very hard to achieve - likely months. It took a considerable amount of community effort to produce just 1 Apartment with Level 2 Stations.
