Template:Soulbound player

From Community Wiki | Soulbound: Online
Template documentationview · edit

This template links a wiki account to an in-game Soulbound character, so that the development team knows which character to award Librarian Credits to each month. Add it to your own user page — it does nothing anywhere else.

If you do not add this template, your edits are not counted and you will not be paid. See Wiki:Librarian Credits for the programme rules.

Usage

Put this at the top of your user page and fill in your details:

{{Soulbound player
|ign = YourCharacterName
|id = 01ARZ3NDEKTSV4RRFFQ69G5FAV
|region = Europe
}}

You can also add it with the Insert → Template button in the editor toolbar, which gives you a form with a field for each parameter.

Finding your character name

Your character name is the name shown above your character in game, spelled exactly as it appears there, including capitalisation.

Finding your user ID

Your user ID is a 26-character code that identifies your account, for example 01ARZ3NDEKTSV4RRFFQ69G5FAV. It is not your character name and not your Discord name.

To find it, in game:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Click Copy User ID.

Then paste it straight into the template. Copying it rather than typing it out avoids mistakes — a user ID with a character wrong in it cannot be paid.

Finding your region

Soulbound runs a separate server for each region, and your character exists on only one of them. We need to know which, or we cannot find your account to pay it.

Your region is the server you log in to. Put one of these:

  • US
  • Europe
  • Asia
  • South America

If you play somewhere that does not match one of those labels exactly, write it however it appears for you and it will still be read — it is checked by hand rather than thrown away.

One character per wiki account

Add the template once. A wiki account is linked to a single character, so a user page that declares two characters or two user IDs is held and not paid, because there is no way to tell which one you meant. If you want to change which character is paid, edit the existing template rather than adding a second one.

Parameters

Parameter Required Description
ign Yes Your in-game character name, exactly as it appears in game.
id Yes Your 26-character in-game user ID, from SettingsAccountCopy User ID in game.
region Yes The region (server) you play on — US, Europe, Asia, or South America.

Categories

The template files your user page automatically, so nothing needs adding by hand:

Categorisation only happens on pages in the User namespace, so examples and documentation do not appear in the contributor list.

A note on privacy

Whatever you put in this template is publicly visible on your user page, as is everything else on a wiki. Only fill in a character name and user ID you are happy for other people to see. Never put your password, your email address, or a wallet seed phrase on a wiki page — see Wiki:About.

Two wiki accounts declaring the same character or the same user ID are both held and neither is paid until it is sorted out, so copying someone else's details gains you nothing and costs them their award.

Example

{{Soulbound player
|ign = Valanoth
|id = 01ARZ3NDEKTSV4RRFFQ69G5FAV
|region = Europe
}}

Hello, I mostly work on quest guides and item pages.
