The Next Energy Source is a quest granted by Major from Fritz's Lab in Arcadia. This quest is part of "The Foundation" questline, as the player will collect various materials in order to enter The Foundation in Minamoto and open the Farpoint Rift beacon dungeon.

Your second task in your hunt for this mysterious figure: explore the Farpoint Rift Beacon to look for more clues. You'll have to find a way to fix it first, which means entering the Foundation...

- Talk to Fritz to find out how to get a hacking tool.
- Talk to Hazel to find out where to find Foundation gear.
- Retrieve the items to enter the Foundation

Foundation Hood
- Talk to Hazel at The Tired Soul bar in Arcadia to receive the Foundation Hood
Tip: The Foundation Hood does not need to be equipped but must be kept in the Bag for this questline
Foundation Identification Card
- Talk to Hazel at The Tired Soul bar in Arcadia for a hint on the whereabouts of the ID card
- Travel to Everdune Ruin
Tip: Check the vehicle wreck
Old Hacking Tool
- Talk to Fritz in his Lab in Arcadia to get a sub-quest for an Old Hacking Tool
- Complete dungeons or trade for Aluminum Scrap and Synth-Fluid
Tip: Fritz's sub-quest must be completed first before the main quest can be continued.
