System FAQs

Q: I haven't played a while and I want to start over. Can I keep my old character?

A: Yes, as long as the character is linked to an account.

For example:

  1. log onto your old character, go to Quick Menu > Account
  2. link your old character to your email and de-link from your Discord account
  3. log out, start a New Game and create a new character
  4. go to Quick Menu > Account and link your new character to your Discord account

Players may link a character to multiple accounts. However, each account can only be linked to 1 character.

Q: My fps is low - help!

If you're experiencing low performance, consider the following:

  1. enable acceleration
  2. enable a gaming graphics card rather than the built-in graphics card
  3. adjust the Texture Scaling or Particle Effects under Quick Menu > Graphics
  4. Lower max fps
    • The game runs at a default cap of 60 fps, but you can adjust this setting to suit your system
      • 30 FPS Cap — Ideal for improving performance on lower-end systems, providing smoother gameplay if 60 FPS is not achievable.
      • 120 FPS Uncap — For higher-end systems, allowing for ultra-smooth performance.
  5. decrease the size of your browser or Discord window. Smaller windows generally improve performance, so experiment to find the optimal setup for your machine.

For a detailed breakdown of each setting, make sure to explore the Graphics Settings via the Quick Menu. Fine-tuning these options can help you achieve the best balance of visuals and performance for your system.

Q: Words are too big/too small or I can't see all of the sub-windows - help!

A: Under Settings > Display, you can adjust the GUI Scale. Editing the GUI scale will adjust the size of the interface elements, providing a more comfortable viewing experience.

If you accidentally make the GUI too large, you can Reset to Defaults.

  • If you are having trouble viewing Reset to Defaults button, expand the game window or play via browser or Discord-in-browser ("Open Discord in browser" button on the website) to increase the size of the window

Q: I'm stuck - help!

A: If you are physically stuck in-game, try the following:

  1. wiggle via the WASD keys - sometimes the game will "squeeze" you out.
  2. use a HomeDisc or Recall Disc (teleport)
  3. If in a dungeon: log out, wait 3 minutes, then log back in. Sometimes the system will try to auto-correct by teleporting you to to a new location.

Players are automatically kicked from a dungeon to the overworld after 3 minutes of inactivity

  4. if all else fails, contact Support for a manual teleport out of the area.
