Stats
Stats influence how effectively you deal damage, avoid enemy attacks, and survive. In Soulbound, stats come from equipped Gear (base stats plus dungeon-rolled bonuses), relics, and temporary effects. Every stat has its own page — this page is the index.
Primary stats
The six primary stats appear on most gear and each provides a bundle of bonuses:
| Stat | Provides |
|---|---|
| Power | Bonus physical resistance, melee penetration, knockback |
| Precision | Bonus critical strike chance, projectile speed, attack speed |
| Focus | Bonus AoE size, heavy hit chance, effect duration |
| Ferocity | Bonus critical strike damage, heavy hit chance, DoT potency |
| Vitality | Bonus health, health regeneration, status resistance |
| Will | Bonus cooldown reduction, mana, stun resistance |

Stats are either global (affecting everything) or affinity-based (boosting one specific ability) — see Ability Affinity Stats.
What stats do I use?
Different gear suits different playstyles — optimise for offensive or defensive strategies:
- Tank build = Max Health, Resistances, Critical Strike
- Damage build = Power, Critical Strike Chance/Damage
- Dodge build = Dodge Chance, Critical Strike
- Healer build = Buff Power, Healing Power, Cooldown Reduction
The right stats also depend on the dungeon, the boss encounter, and party size — a party of three will often want one player on a healing ability for a tough encounter.
How do I increase stats?
- Acquiring better weapons, armor and accessories via crafting or trading
- Dungeon-rolled gear — dropped copies carry bonus stats on top of the base stats
- Weapon and Ability Upgrades
- Dungeon Relic buffs (one dungeon run only)
- Combat potions (temporary)
Note: Relic buff paths are influenced by Weapon and Ability Upgrades.
