Gearforging

Gearforging is an Artisanal Skill focused on the creation of advanced weapons and armor.

This skill allows players to craft gear using specialized Crafting Stations, unlocking new equipment as they level up.

📈 Leveling Gearforging

Progressing your Gearforging skill grants access to improved recipes and contributes to Achievements.

Ways to earn Gearforging EXP:

Craft weapons at a Weapon Crafting Station
Craft armor at an Armor Crafting Station
Complete select Pioneer Guild Contracts that reward Gearforging EXP

Experience per craft

The experience a craft gives rises steeply with the rarity of what you make. The figures below are community-reported (shmmy, Steam Community, August 2026) and have not been checked against game data (recipe craft times in the data vary widely within each rarity, so treat the pace column as one player's experience); correct them if your own crafts disagree.

A fast levelling loop that follows from this: keep blue and purple pieces queued from dungeon materials for passive experience, and in between craft batches of ten white pieces from Tier 1 resources, which are unlimited in the overworld, gathering for about five minutes between batches. shmmy reports roughly 12,000 experience an hour from the white pieces alone, before the passive crafts land.
